Md. Yousuf Mansur

Artist

I am an artist with extensive experience in theatre. I have performed in numerous stage productions during my academic studies and while working with group theatre. Prior to my academic journey, I was actively involved in group theatre performances, where I also received training in classical dance. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance Studies from Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University in 2018. I then pursued a Master of Arts in Drama (Playwriting) at Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, India, under a fully funded Government of India scholarship (2018–2019). Additionally, I have earned a postgraduate diploma in Social Work, reflecting my strong interest in socially engaged and popular theatre. Throughout my theatre career, I have performed in more than 50 stage productions. Notably, I have performed the indigenous drama Wangala over 40 times. I have also performed in The Taming of the Shrew more than 20 times across Bangladesh, including at the Experimental Theatre Hall of the Jatiya Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka, as part of Shakespeare’s 400th birth anniversary celebrations.
